    Hey,

    Ive been having issues with installing games from the Xbox Game Pass. I tried all the trouble shooting without uninstalling, then got to a point where uninstalling and reinstalling the Xbox app all together was the only other test. After uninstalling the Xbox app, now I can not reinstall it, either through the Microsoft Store or the individual installer from the Xbox website. When I try from the Microsoft store, I click install and it will gray out for a few seconds then go back to the clickable state. The Xbox installer will give me a 0x80072F8F error.

    Ive already been through all the trouble shooting steps (i.e. running the trouble shooting tools build into Win 11, trying both installers, checking network connections, ect. I do IT for a living..., Ive even reinstalled Windows on my device and still nothing.) Please do not give me the copy paste answer for the error for the installer. This is starting to get frustrating as I am not sure if this is caused by a Windows update pushed out recently or if this is on the Xbox side.

    Please help...

    In the past (not recently, but, like years ago) updates would occasionally cause problems with other things (like Xbox). Here are some things I used to do on my gaming PCs.

    1. roll back the update (there is usually an option to go back to a previous version of windows, by removing the latest updates)

    1. If that's not possible, download the latest version of windows from Microsoft website and do a complete PC reset (after backing up all your stuff). I know this sounds like a nuclear option, but this is what I did. Other forum people might give you better steps than this.

    The “Xbox” app on my PC, and “Game Bar” will not work. I tried a bunch of different solutions, I even reset my pc and upgraded from windows 10 > windows 11, but nothing is working. When I open the “Xbox” app it just pops up for a second (black screen with white xbox logo in the middle) then it closes, and “Game Bar” wont open at all. Can someone please help?

    I also tried re-installing windows - literally just now. Same error. I thought it was a corrupt instal.

    I also didnt install ANYTHING else to see if it was something else but still nothing.

    I am also on win 11 23H2.

    I am so pissed - i cant play any of my xbox owned games!!!!

    Any suggestions anyone??

    The Xbox App is already built into Windows 11 and therefore can not be installed.

    Does it not show load if you search for 'Xbox' in the Windows 11 search box?
