    xbox app won’t connect to console


    please help. xbox app won’t connect to console :(( i’ve searched the web far and wide to find a solution to this problem, but everything i find either has to do with setting up my console or refers to the outdated version of the xbox app, so im asking myself. as we know, there’s a new way to connect your console to the xbox app, but this just isn’t working for me. i go to connect my console and im prompted with a screen that says something like, “turn on your console and sign in with your account”. ive done this plenty of times before, following the directions. ive made sure my phone and console are on the same network, restarted my xbox, restarted the app and even deleted and downloaded the app again. ive gone into settings and made sure my console allows connections from the xbox app, but none of this is working. i do exactly what the directions say, and nothing at all happens, the screen doesnt change or anything. i’ll take all the help i can get because i’ve had this issue since the app update came out months ago.

    Has anyone else had this issue with their account status?

    I’m having the same issue. Told me to connect to Xbox live but it won’t connect. I am connected to the internet because the other apps work. Can’t contact Xbox because their virtual assistant is a nightmare and freezes up.

    So I tried to remove my account and re add it, but now it won’t even let me add an account back to the Xbox. Now I can’t use any apps. Basically stuck.

    It’s an Xbox One console and yes it does display my wireless network’s name but it won’t connect with it. No codes or error messages come up. It just says it can’t connect to my wireless network and to try unplugging my router/modem for 30 seconds and
    then plug it back in which I have done several times and it still won’t connect.
