    Xbox app "This app needs a few things that are missing on this PC"


    My xbox app loads to the above stated message at the bottom of my screen (picture wont upload for some reason). I cannot click anything to view the xbox app settings. I am on windows 11 it is a fresh install of windows 11.I already tried going into services and stopping storage services and it did nothing. I have 32 GB ram, 2 TB storage, 1650 super GPU, AMD ryzen 5 3600 cpu. Any more info you might need then ask.

    came home and turned on my computer and its working fine now, if i had to guess i missed an update or smthn, Thanks anyways.

    Hello Rob! I'm Kris and I'd be happy to help you with your question.

    Sorry to hear you are having this issue. I have a couple of things you can check/try.

    1. Make sure that both Windows and the Xbox app don't have any updates pending, if they do, get them downloaded.
    2. Check the Windows Service called Storage Service is running. If its running, stop it, start it then load the app again.

    Hi there, this appears to have worked. By shutting down "services" am I missing out on something that I should not be shutting down?

    Could you explain why this particular service is interfering with the xbox game app?

    Hi JamesTem, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    On your search bar type in "services" then locate storage services, from there click stop then restart your PC.
