Sorry for the late reply.

I would like to clarify that I'm using an Xbox One and not an Xbox Series X|S. I would be okay with the delay if the Xbox Companion would wait for the video to show instead of forcing me to disconnect. I prefer it over the Xbox App because it has less latency, making it easier to play.

For the past few months I've had network problems, such as random disconnects and BSOD when using an ethernet cable. It's mostly fine now, except for the current issue. I feel like it could be service related, because I don't have problems watching videos on the internet.

By "service" I meant a background process on Windows, like maybe something is disabled that affects the app. I have something to show you.

I used my sister's computer, signed into the Xbox Companion and the video connected instantly. On my computer, it will show nothing until at least 30 seconds, only to then have most of the screen dimmed and covered by a dialog box telling me it "lost" the connection, forcing me to close the session.





Something is preventing it from connecting instantly, but what could it be? I will wait to see if there are any solutions I can try, but I think reinstalling Windows 10 might end up being the best choice.
