    Xbox App - (still) Can't choose HD to install game.


    Recently was added the option to set the advanced instalation setting, but I'm still can't choose my drive D:\ to install games, even though is possible to choose it as default drive for instalation.

    I don't know if this is related, but my drive D:\ is a RAID.

    Currently, we can't look at the HD space. Installations all go into Games and Apps.

    Hello Helenic,

    Not a problem, I am more than happy to explain this to you. Once you get another external HD all you need to do is when signed in on your profile you will go to my games and apps (on home screen just go down one). Once there, you will go to ready to install
    this shows you all your digital games, you can then choose which games you want to install. You will choose where you want to install to internal or external HD. This is the easiest way to install them all again. As for disk games once you have the external
    HD just put the disk in and install to the external HD.

    Problem recovering my installed game

    so u are telling me that i can't clone an HD with Xbox pass game on it? Because i really can't do nothing anymore with my xbox app, i can't install game on that HD nor delete the old one. The only solution that i've found is to force access on that folder
    and manually delete the game, hoping that, then, windows can recognize that folder as empty and allow me to install over there.

    Maybe that's a problem Windows need to solve :)

    so wait, u can't install the mandatory on your xbox HD and then game disc 2 on the usb? Everything has to be on the xboxs HD?

    yeah i have a similar problem, i just clean installed win 11 again after got my new graphics card.

    And now i have hard Xbox app Problems, i cant even choose one drive.

    if i delete gaming service over powershell, i can choose a drive, after reinstall the gaming service app i can still download the game i choose with xbox app but i need to delete everytime the gaming service app for new installations. its a mess
