    Xbox app set up


    I am trying to set up the xbox app. The instructions tell me to enter a 10 or 6 digit code. I have checked that both my phone and console are on the exact same network, I have enabled connections from other devices, I have tried to follow all the steps as
    outlined on the microsoft assist website, yet I CANNOT find the magic code to connect my phone with the console!! Please help! I have followed all of the steps I can yet some instructions do not apply to my console's dashboard as the options available to me
    are different to the instructions.

    I think I responded to a post you made in the community forum asking you to follow some steps to find the code so you can finish configuring Xbox in your application. By chance, have you already followed all the steps mentioned above?

    Setting up console on the xbox app

    First, try to power cycle your console, and remove and re-add your profile.

    If the issue persists, I would recommend trying these troubleshooting steps:

    Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear

    If the issue still persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

    If the issue keeps on happening, you can soft reset the console by; Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

    You can also try to reinstall the app all over again in the process to see if it corrects the issue.

    Is your console connected to the internet and everything? I remember I had a strange thing like this too when I connected my console to my phone's app (it doesn't matter which device, the Xbox Companion App connection process is pretty much the same I think)
