Xbox app says that the series x is on standby mode even when the console is switched off

figured it out. Xbox series X wont turn off your controller or respond to the controller once its on a off state if your console is in ENERGY SAVER mode. In order to be able to turn your xbox on with the controller you must be in STANDBY mode. Thats a stupid move by Microsoft to force you to keep wasting power in order to turn on you console with the controller.

Even with instant on turned on, when you turn the xbox off it is going to go into standby mode. This includes power not going to the wireless adapter anymore. If you are wanting to install a game or any other content, you must leave the console on and not
in standby mode while it is installing.

Kindly make sure that the standby mode option on your console is enabled. If it's already set to standby mode kindly switch it to energy-saving mode and then powercycle before switching it back to standby mode.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features.

Select the Enable remote features checkbox.

Under Power mode, select standby mode.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

Make sure that you're connected on the same network connection and signed in on the same account on both devices.

Do you use instant on mode or energy saving mode?

Instant on mode is like standby mode on your pc. If the console glitches and you switch the console off the glitch remains because your console is in standby.

So if you are using instant on then try a full shutdown by holding to power button until console fully shuts down and powerbrick light turns orange.

Once powerbrick light is orange disconnect the power for a couple of minutes before switching back on.

Yeah I cant find a standby mode anywhere and when I say Xbox Off it turns my xbox and cable off..
