Xbox app says PIN is incorrect even though it isn't

I can see that you are having trouble logging into the Xbox app with a different account than the one you used for your computer. This issue might be caused by a mismatch between the PIN settings for Windows Hello and the Xbox app. To fix this, please follow these steps:



1. Open the Settings app on your computer and go to Accounts > Sign-in options.

2. Under Windows Hello PIN, click on Change and enter your current PIN.

3. On the next screen, uncheck the option that says "Use my Windows Hello PIN for apps and services".

4. Click on OK to save the changes and close the Settings app.

5. Restart your computer and try logging into the Xbox app again with the different account.

This is completely unhelpful.

I have the same issue. I have entered my PIN. Game said it was incorrect. I thought I was mistaken so changed it. Attempted to reenter and game STILL says PIN is incorrect

Do you manage to accept friends now?

I have a very similar problem: when my son want to add friends, the parental PIN is required. I try to enter it, it says PIN incorrect.

I then click on "modify PIN", which does bring me to the EPIC website on my account. There I can connect with the PIN that was said as "incorrect" in Fortnite. I can navigate and change the options in parental control without any problem. I can even change the PIN.

But if I go back to Fortnite, try to accept friends and enter the PIN which worked right before in the EPIC portal, then it's refused again...

It seems the PIN in Fortnite is not the same as the one in EPIC portal...

I can't see any of the pins either except home and it won't connect to Xbox live even though it says I'm connected to the Internet.
