Xbox app says I need to update game bar, doesn’t work.

I think I might have solved it. You may need to repair your Xbox Game Bar app, open windows search, type in Xbox Game Bar app, right click it press app settings. Then as said above, repair the app. It worked for me at least. That and before all this I noticed
that I couldn't update windows either. So I reset. Since doing that and the latter the app is now installed and working.

So you might need the newest/newer version's' of 10, or a just Xbox Game Bar app fix.

We understand the inconvenience caused. As per description, you cannot post anything on your Xbox Game Bar app and it always pop-ups an error of "this post is no longer available".

You can try the following steps and see if this work well for you.

1. Open the Settings app by pressing the Windows key + I.
   
2. Click on the Gaming option from the left panel followed by Xbox Game Bar from the right side.
   
3. Once you’re inside the Xbox Game Bar menu, enable the toggle associated with the Open Xbox Game Bar using this button on a controller option.
   

If this doesn’t work, you can try resetting the Xbox app by following these steps:

1. Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
   
2. Click on Apps.
   
3. Scroll down and click on Xbox Console Companion.
   
4. Click on Advanced options.
   
5. Click on Reset.
   

You may also need to update your Xbox Game Bar app by following the steps.

1. Press the Start button and choose Settings.
   
2. Go to Update & security (Windows Update on Windows 11), then select Check for updates.
   
3. Check your Game Bar settings. Press the Start button and choose Settings.

No updates available for the Xbox app, I did however need to update my Nvidia Driver however this didnt help anything. I updated from windows 10 home to windows 11 in hope that itd work after the update but alas, it didnt. Also no new updates via windows either.

I'll add however, I can access both the Game Bar and Console Companion but I cant access the Xbox app.Right clicking the xbox app when it pops up on the task bar and selecting an option will get me into the app, but once i'm in the app, I cant sign in.

You must have misunderstood or maybe I chose the wrong phrasing. When I say "close game bar" I mean minimize by pressing the windows key + G. This worked fine up until the latest update. Now when I join a party and minimize game bar by pressing windows key +G the other members of the party cannot hear me. When I press the shortcut key again and bring the game bar overlay back up, they can again hear me. This was not the case before last update. Only fix I've found that works is resetting the app in the settings menu, but this must be done every time I boot my PC or log into Xbox or game bar. Something has gone wrong with the latest update and game bar; looking through the support page and the forums I see a lot of people saying that certain game bar features have broken with the newest windows update.
