Xbox App PC gaming Dead by Daylight DLC isn't working

I bought Dead by daylight on Xbox a while back along with multiple DLC packs. I recently started also playing it on my PC through the Xbox app with my buddies. However the DLC I purchased on Xbox doesn't show up when playing through the xbox app it shows
I have to re-purchase them again. Is this normal? and if so why? they are both Xbox apps why should i have to buy the DLC twice?

    :)

dlc show up as bought in xbox page but not in xbox app

If your Dead by Daylight DLC shows as purchased on the Xbox website but not in the Xbox app, try the following steps:

    1) Check your purchase history to confirm the DLC was bought under the correct account: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

    2) Restart your console or Xbox app to refresh content.

    3) Check the DLC is installed:

Go to My games & apps > Dead by Daylight > Manage game and add-ons and ensure the DLC is checked.

    4) If on PC via Xbox app, try reinstalling the game or signing out and back into the app.

Please let me know if it worked or not and I would be happy to assist you further. Thank you!

Getting Add Ons from Xbox Console to Xbox Companion on PC

Well it is working as intended then

I don't think you fully realize what they mean

Progress means cloud saves not dlc

Since dead by daylight isn't a playanywhere title dlc locked to the platform you bought it on in this case xbox

Console companion is a wireless display app

You would need your console nearby and access from your console not the xbox app

If you mean remote play ala xcloud you need xgu not console companion but dead by y daylight is not a xcloud title

I bought a lot of characters on the console in dead by daylight, but I can't play these characters when I switch to my computer, it tells me to buy them again, can you help me?

Hi, Shady_403 Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues accessing your characters on PC.

Unfortunately, Dead by Daylight is not part of the "Play Anywhere" program and as such, it requires separate purchases for each gaming platform. This means that the base game and any DLC content purchased on console won't work on PC (and vice versa).

I'm afraid this is the reason why you don't see your characters in the PC version of the game.

    For your reference:

Dead By Daylight for Xbox consoles - https://www.xbox.com/games/store/dead-by-daylight/C0N22P73QZ60/0001

Dead By Daylight for Windows - https://www.xbox.com/games/store/dead-by-daylight-windows/9NMS4SFNBGBH/0010

Taking this Chucky DLC as an example - https://www.xbox.com/games/store/dead-by-daylight-chucky-chapter/9NXB9P4X3RP0/0010

If you look at the "Playable On" section, it mentions it can only be used on Xbox Consoles.

As a fellow gamer, I understand this is probably not the answer you were hoping for. I'm sorry, Shady_403.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help.
    Best regards.

dlc show up as bought in xbox page but not in xbox app

    Please try these steps:

    1) Install the DLC directly from the Microsoft Store.

    Open the Microsoft Store app.

Make sure you're signed in with the same account used to purchase the DLC.

Search for the specific Dead by Daylight DLC.

On the DLC’s page, it should say “Owned”, if so, click Install or Get.

    2) Try a force license refresh.

Sign out of both the Xbox app and Microsoft Store.

    Reboot your PC.

Sign back in to both apps with the same account.

Let me know if these worked.

Thoughts on Ghostface (Scream) Being Added Into Dead By Daylight?

This is not a new game, just an optional DLC to Dead by Daylight :)
