Is it possible to play older versions of a game through Xbox app on Windows 10? I have not found any post about this anywhere.

Yes, at least this is strange maybe this is happening due to the region in which you are. Anyway, the game will be released tomorrow on October 12th.

One last solution I can provide you is to uninstall the Xbox app and install it again from the Microsoft store. Also check if your windows 10 version is 21h1, if it is an older version, update.

Also, check that there are no updates for the Xbox apps, updates can be downloaded through the Microsoft store.
