Xbox app on Windows 11 can't install any game on ARM devices

I almost guarantee that this had been posted before, but doesn't seem to have been resolved in any cases. The preinstalled Xbox app on Windows 11 can't install any game or application on any ARM architecture machines.

In my case, it is a M1 Chip Macbook Pro from 2020, running in a virtual machine. I tried installing the new unified Minecraft Launcher, however once I click, the installation errors out to a 0x00000001. The problem is with this that this error actually happens on any ARM-based device as my friend has helped me troubleshoot with their ARM-based Surface Pro. Not even a Microsoft device can properly install from the Xbox app. Any install from the Microsoft Store work just fine, it's just the Xbox app. Has this been addressed at HQ, or addressed by Microsoft at all? You can't install or play this game on an ARM device as it's a different architecture. You need an x86 Windows PC with an Intel or AMD processor.

As stated on the support page: "ARM devices support the Xbox cloud gaming feature only on the Xbox app. "

well as arm is not a supported architecture for windows 11 and that most of the games in the xbox app require x32 or x64 you will have issues even in a virtual environment. the xbox app places the games in a secure folder, this folder has to be on an ntfs drive or it will not work.

I keep hearing this, but the new Surface Pro X is running the SQ1 and 2 chips which are based on ARM and those devices run Windows 11. Do those devices not run the Xbox games either? I can't believe MS would do that...

Hi there kaivaba welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had the same issue when I upgraded to Windows 11 unfortunately, I had to go back to Windows 10 but I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

I've tried a new VM, I could only download a Windows 11 ARM VHDX.

So I tried to downgrade it to Windows 10 just after installation but it failed.

So I will wait a patch of the Xbox app for Windows 11 ARM.
