Xbox App on Windows 10 shuts down immediately when starting

I don't want to shut down the internet.

I want to stop the windows 10 xbox app from connecting.

My Xbox One SmartGlass app won't even start on my PC(Windows 8.1). It show the startup screen with the logo on, and paaaw the app shuts down. Any suggestions?

To install games remotely to your Windows 10/11 device, use the apps outlined above. Before you start, however, do the following to get your PC or tablet ready.

On your Windows device, make sure you’re using the Microsoft account for your Xbox profile. Also, make sure the device is on and connected to the internet.

Make sure you’re signed in to both the Xbox app for Windows and the Microsoft Store app with the same Microsoft account you use for your Xbox profile.

These apps don’t need to be running, you simply need to be the last person to sign in to them.

Note If your Windows device is in sleep mode, offline, or turned off, game downloads can’t start.

In Sleep mode or offline, games you install from your app will be queued for download once the device is online.

If the device has been shut down, games won’t be queued for download until your next game installation. If the device shuts down during installation, the download will continue when the device starts back up.

For such cases, I recommend rebooting your Windows 10 computer:

1. Right-click the [Start] button or press [Windows] key and [X] key on your keyboard.
   
2. Click Shut down or sign out and choose Shut down.
   
3. Once complete, reboot the computer, log back into the game, and allow it to sync.
