Xbox App on PC won't let me sign in

Every time I try to sign in to the xbox app on my PC, it tells me my microsoft account does not exist. Which I don't understand because it's the account I've been using for my xbox 360 and xbox one. Just to be sure, I even tried creating a new account with that email, then get told that the email I used already exists. I made sure the app is updated. I checked the status of my microsoft account, both on my web browser and my authenticator app, which are both good to go. I can still log in on both my xbox.

You mean like, it would not show the "Sign in" window? Then that fixed it?

I have been getting the 0x84DD0005 error for a few days, i just mash the sign in button and then eventually it signs in, none of the fixes work, rest of my family get it on their pc's and my friend does on his.

having it do it with games that use live too. including games from steam that use live.

Don't worry we will work on this together. This means the email that you're trying to use was already associated to another account. If this is the case, you'll be needing to create a new account with different email address. Thanks!
