Xbox App on PC will not keep me logged in.

I was able to install the xbox app just fine, installed outer worlds after I got the game pass, and even played for an hour or two. However, the issue started when I came back to play later.

For some reason, the xbox app does not automatically log me in. It pops up the "Lets play" button with my account, but then also pops up the normal windows account login screen on top of it, both with the same account. (see image 1, both items covered in
black are the same account)

No matter how I login, whenever I hit "Let's play!" it acts like I never signed in at all. See image 2, this is immediately after I hit "Let's play".

I have tried updating, restarting, reinstalling the xbox app, even the identity provider, nothing has worked. I am logged in fine on the microsoft store, and on the xbox webpage. It is only the app that I am having trouble with. Any ideas?

Also of note, this causes The Outer Worlds to tell me "You are not signed into xbox live, cloud saves are unavailable."

Sorry to hear it. Please try the following steps to see if it helps.

1. Delete the beta app

2. Open the Xbox Console Companion (Xbox App)

3. Sign out

4. Sign back in

5. Redownload the beta app

Hello Bf206, this is really strange because your account as an Admin should enter the Xbox App without any problems.

Have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 22H2.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

I have the same issue. I changed my primary email address today. then restarted my computer. now when i try to log into xbox app on pc, it keeps prompting me to log in after it said i successfully did so. I have no option to play any games, and no
option to download games in the app. Only option is to log in again

Just log out, restart and log in again. Keep in mind that the PC Win app is still in beta and issues like these might occur.
