Xbox app on pc shows an install notification every time I launch

We understand that you are getting a notification on a game that was not installed on Xbox app every launch of the said app. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

To be honest, I find your issue strange and to better isolate your issue, we will ask for few things:

Is this happening to other game titles that is installed through Xbox app?

May we ask when did this issue happen? Is this after an update or installation of an app?

May we ask for a screenshot of the notification? Please post it in here and conceal any personal information.

Would you mind sharing any troubleshooting you have perform so far?

May we ask if the game was downloaded from the game developer's site directly?

Suggested troubleshooting you can try:

1. Reset/Uninstall Xbox app and clearing Windows Store (Microsoft Store).
   
   • Open PC settings by pressing Windows + I on keyboard.
     
   • Go to Apps > Apps and features. Search and select Xbox App and reset/uninstall.
     
   • Do the same for Microsoft Store (except do not uninstall).
     
2. Clear the Microsoft Store cache.
   
   • Clear the store cache by typing “wsreset” in the Windows search bar. Run this as admin and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.
     
3. Reinstall Gaming Services.
   
   • Launch Microsoft Store then search for Xbox app and select Get or Install or Update. After installation of the app close the Microsoft Store.
     
   • Right-click the Start button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
     
   • Type this command, press enter and wait:
     Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
     
4. Relaunch Xbox app and see of issue persist.

Same here... every time I open the Xbox app on my computer, I get a notification that I need to install something called "Xbox Identity Provider", but when I click the install button in the notification, and go to the Microsoft Store to check the installation status, it is always failed. Any time I retry, I just get a generic error that says "Something happened on our end."
