Xbox App on PC - Screen appears but not filled in with any games or information.

I am quite frustrated at Microsoft at the moment. I pay for an xbox subscription, but I am not able to use it.

I have a PC with Windows 11. I open the xbox app, and it looks like it is going to load, but all I get is a black screen with the text menu and grey placeholders where graphics will go. If click on the user profile, it suggests I am not logged in (sign-in is an option). If I click on sign in, nothing happens at all.

I have tried looking on google, but have had limited success. Occasionally I will get it to load once. But the next time I open the PC, I can't log in again.

In desperation today I uninstalled the app and re-installed it again, but after 30 minutes it is still not logged in properly.

Incredibly frustrating.

I am able to launch apps from the desktop (the ones I have on my desktop).

I anyone has had or knows of similar problems, and more importantly know the resolution, I would be eternally grateful for your direction.

Last gripe. Microsofts 24/7 chat is unavailable. The request a call back is unavailable. My only options are to post to the forum or message a gamer. Not great support.

Hello. Sorry that you are having issues with the Xbox app on your PC. I have some troubleshooting steps that may help.

Press the Windows Button then type Services.

Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.

Then select Run as Administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper

Xbox Live Auth Manager,

Xbox Live Game Save,

Xbox Live Networking Service,

Gaming Services.

Do this with each of the services listed above.

Right-click over the service and select Properties.

Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.

If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

Click Apply and OK to save changes. Restart your PC and try again. Hope this helps !

In this case I'm sure Xbox support isn't aware of it since it doesn't appear on the FAQ lists, and I haven't found any form of fix for this problem

Also post to the twitter account and Xbox Game Pass PC app under feedback (since it is on beta lol sry) they need this type of information to make game pass better for pc.

Without any more information it will be hard to try and assist, so if you could provide more information about the question you have or the issue you are experiencing, then it would be really helpful.

The logo is not just present for the UI or home screen. It appears to be there for all MS Xbox apps. For instance if you watch a movie on Xbox Video the Logo is present. As a result I already have the logo "ghost". So until there is an option to remove
or dim this logo I will not be using any Xbox Apps and skipping through the home screen straight to the games!

Note, I have a very modern screen with screen burn protection!
