    Xbox app on PC does not recognize that I'm online.


    I keep getting this error message when trying to play a game: "You need to be online to open this on this device. To open this on this device when offline, go to the ‘Offline Permissions’ setting in the Store Settings page. You can change this setting the next time you go online."

    I am online and have tried to relog/reboot which did nothing. I even tried to put it on offline mode via the store settings like advised, but that did nothing as well.

    Hello! I am Jonjon here to assist! Please check to see if you are signed into the Microsoft store as that can cause applications to see you as offline.

    Yes the xbox companion app does recognize the games but Microsoft discontinued the ability to post clips from the xbox PC companion app and instead will give you a pop up saying that this app no longer supports this feature

    I have same problem, xbox app on pc won't recognize i have game pass ultimate. Mobile app dose.even on web it reflects, not chaked on consol. Microsoft store late me download, install & play game pass games.

    It seems there is issue whith pc app. All usual measures does not help me.

    Does Microsoft plan to support it's own XBox Controller firmware on the Xbox Accessories app (PC)?

    There might be an update to the Xbox Accessories app on the PC. Check using the Microsoft Store app on Windows 10/11. The app on the PC should then be able to recognize the new firmware of the Elite Controller.
