xbox app on PC - Cannot install or uninstall games or cancel them

Sorry about that. Do you get an error code or message when trying to uninstall your games? Kindly also delete all files in C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Packages \Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache, and then reboot your pc.

This will only rescan all your downloaded files in just a few minutes.

Yes - as per my post. I use the media tool to create an iso file and then did a reinstall, keeping my files.

Doing that got everything working again for a few hours.

Unfortunately, most of the problems then recurred (unable to install or uninstall games from the xbox app, cannot cancel existing queued installs, cannot run most games on the xbox app).

The Xbox app is a mandatory install on Windows 10 and so cannot be removed. Some free to play games are sometimes installed, you can uninstall them by going to your start menu and right clicking on your mouse > select uninstall.

I cancelled the xbox game pass and bought the pc beta and I still can't install the game, it also isn't letting me uninstall the xbox companion as well as install the new one.

Richie, thanks for the response. Unfortunately I have tried these suggestions but I tried them again...

1. I ran the Troubleshooter and it found no issues.

2. Gaming services cannot be uninstalled as the box is greyed out. The only way that I have been able to uninstall gaming services is via the Powershell commands.

I have also found that xBox app cannot identify the default install location under Install Options.

So I have 3 notable issues, Gaming Services will not install (Error 0x8007007e), Gaming Services actual services will not start (Error 87), and XBox app cannot identify default installation location.
