Xbox app not working: no sign in or code.

After updating the Xbox app for Android I can no longer use it. When the app loads up it prompts me to "Join the community" with two buttons to "SIGN IN" or "SET UP CONSOLE." Neither work.

"SIGN IN" redirects me to a my phone's browser to confirm that I'm am signing in on the Xbox app with my account. I verify by hitting "Continue" and come back to the same screen on the app. There is no change.

"SET UP CONSOLE" brings me to a page with the prompt "Enter the code from the console update screen." There is no such code that ever appears.

Both devices are on the same network. I have power cycled them both. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, cleared its cache, and enabled all permissions. The Xbox console allows connections from all devices.

This has been the case for a week every time I've tried it. The app is useless in its current state. What can be done?

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently unable to redeem a code on your Xbox app.

I might recommend attempting to sign out of the app and sign back in and see if that helps resolve that error code.

Additionally, if that does not work, the other alternative would be to re-install the app.

Alternatively, you can try and
redeem this code online via the Xbox website and see if this works out for you.

I just signed into the Microsoft store app. Worked perfectly fine. The code was just for Java Edition

For me, Neither Xbox App or Xbox App (Beta) Is not allowing me to sign in, same code 0x409 and 0x80070422.
