Xbox App Microphone Problem

Teamspeak, Curse, etc all work. I open up the Xbox app with all closed, exclusivity in properties is turned off just in case, and the thing still tells me "We can't find your microphone" when I join a party.

Any solutions to this problem?

Windows 10 Xbox One Streaming microphone not detected?

That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
or game chat.

 

Auto tune on phone

I am looking for an Auto Tune app for use with my xbox one/ PS4 microphones. Just wanted to know if anyone knew of a good app to use.

What kind of microphones are you using?

 

Built into headset. Kingston HyperX Fury.

 

Can everyone try this:

Type "Microphone privacy settings" in the search bar at the bottom left of Windows. Scroll down and enable the microphone for Xbox app.

Come back here and let me know if this worked.

 

I had already done that, it is still enabled and does not detect. I have restarted PC after checking that and disabling/enabling previously to posting this thread. I have turned both Edge on and off and restarted in case it created a conflict as well.

I have also checked and unchecked this since sometimes Teamspeak or another program would take exclusive control when it was running alongside another program. This also did not help the Xbox app.

So can you give me the exact model of headset you're using? Is it wired into the controller? Is it blue tooth to the computer?

Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver. It is wired to the computer via 3.5mm. I also have a set of Sennheiser Game One's that do not work either and are also wired to the PC. Again, all have no issues with other voice related programs.

I am using a Soundblaster Z sound card if that makes a difference.

 

Are you using the Xbox app to stream games or just connect to parties?

 

Only using it to connect to parties.
