Xbox app log-in problem | Flashing log-in window

First, make sure Windows is up to date by checking for updates in your settings.

- Open your Settings

- Select Update & Security

- Select Check for updates and install any existing updates.

Restart your PC and try launching the Xbox app.

If that doesn't work, verify that the apps in your Microsoft Store app library are up to date. In this case, you'd want to make sure that the Gaming Services and the Xbox apps are up to date. If you find that they're both up to date or that the Gaming Services app is missing, you can try reinstalling the Gaming Services app by following these steps:

Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:

1. Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
   
2. In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
   
   get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
   
3. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
   
   start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
   
4. Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
   
5. Restart your device and try to install the game again.

Same exact error message as Don Jose... Try to start app it flashes green for a split second then spits this out in the app logs.

"Activation of app Microsoft.XboxApp_8wekyb3d8bbwe!Microsoft.XboxApp failed with error: The app didn't start. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information."

Different code but same problem. Can log into Xbox.com fine but can't log into Xbox One, Windows 10 Xbox app, or the Mobile app. Keeps asking for password over and over and over...

Thx, but I‘m aware of that. Problem is, I get that error message on my Windows PC using the XBox-App for Windows.

My system is up to date, according to Windows Updates, the App is up-to-date, according the Microsoft Store and XBox Live Service is available - at least I can log-off/log-on at any time…

So Problem still exists…

Experiencing the same problem. Strangely using the same PC if I log in using my microsoft account the xbox app works fine and I can stream no problems, however if my son logs on using his account it doesn't work, just get the spinning dots followed by green
screen. He does appear to be logged in though as if I go back my account and log in to the app he shows in friend list as being logged in on the app.

We then tried to log him in to the app on a windows 10 laptop and it worked fine. Makes no sense. All worked prior to the latest update.

Have tried removing the xbox app using powershell and reinstalling but made no difference.
