    Xbox App for PC not updating to show current game being played


    A little while ago, the Xbox App for PC started acting up. It would only show my status as 'online', regardless of if I was in the middle of playing a game. None of my friends have been able to join my games since it never says I'm 'in game'. Recently, it started showing my status, but only when I'm using the Minecraft Launcher. For all other games, the app will only state my status as 'online'.

    I've updated the app countless times, reset the app/store through PC settings, tested my connection to the network through other computers and wireless connections, and contacted support where they manually tried to fix the issue for me, but to no avail. On any computer or Wi-Fi network, the app will not change 'online' status. I initially thought it was an issue with my connection to Microsoft servers, but since Minecraft is able to work, that may not be the case.

    Any help would be appreciated! It's been like this for a few months now.

    I asked because I had this issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

    In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

    Wow! After the full reset? That's really odd! I recommend contacting Xbox directly just to see if they have a solution for this issue Silver!

    Nope, no error codes. The app functions normally other than this weird connectivity issue.

    Thank you for your reply! Unfortunately, I've already tried doing that, and did it once more for good measure after reading what you said. The app still functions abnormally even after uninstalling and reinstalling it.
