Xbox App Failure - Gaming Services Errors

When opening Xbox app, the windows comes up and closes within 15 seconds with nothing displayed in the box.

After several hours of troubleshooting, I've discovered the issue is with Gaming Services. Removed the registry entries as seen here, restarting the PC and opening Xbox app works now! It doesn't crash and I can navigate everything as expected. However, Gaming Services is required to launch or play anything in the Xbox app.

I've repaired and reset the store, xbox app and Gaming Services under Apps successfully, but this did nothing to help.

I have tried reinstalling Gaming Services via the store and Xbox app and both of these do reinstall the registry entries, but then the same issue returns as the 1st line above. I also deleted the files associated with Gaming Services in WindowsApps and registry keys, pulled both from a working PC that the Xbox app launches and works fine on, same issue. I have installed all Windows 10 updates, performed dism and sfc scans/repairs. No change.

Clearly there is an issue with Gaming Services and Xbox App occurring, but I cannot find any postings about the exact issue with the Xbox App opening to a black screen and closing due to the Gaming Services causing this. Aside from a fresh Windows install/reset, what other ideas are out there?

    :)

Ended up performing a reset of the OS and this fixed the issue.

Successfully deleted what you suggested with no changes in the Xbox App issue unfortunately.

I did check Event Viewer and am seeing the following error for XboxPCApp.exe:

Faulting application name: XboxPcApp.exe, version: 2304.1001.15.0, time stamp: 0x643f569b

Not sure if that helps point us towards a specific issue or not

Yes, show it is installed. I can confirm the registry entries are present and files as well. The Xbox App launches and closes within 15 seconds only showing a black screen.

Interestingly, reading the most recent reviews, seems I am not the only one having major issues with Gaming Services atm. Bought the Game Pass and will likely cancel all 3 subscriptions as the reviews suggest this service breaks after virtually every update to the Gaming Services and Xbox App.

May try a fresh install/reset first since 2/3 are working. But if 2/3 break during the next updates, definetly will be cancelling.

Sorry about that, and I totally understand, Cruros. You can also delete all files in C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Packages \Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache, and then reboot your pc.

This will only rescan all your downloaded files in just a few minutes then open File Explorer using the Windows key + E shortcut.

In the address bar paste the following line:

    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker

If there are Accounts and Cache folders available make sure that you delete them. After removing the cache, try to start the Xbox app again. If it persists, you can proceed to a fresh install/reset.
