XBOX App downloading the game which was already downloaded!

So, I downloaded and installed Gears 5. I played the tutorial, then I closed the game. I didn't restart the pc. About an hour later, I've decided to play the Gears 5. But it is waiting for 75 GB of download?!! What? Why?

So the games I already had downloaded are now working, which is great. I am unable to now download/Install new games from both the Microsoft store and Xbox app. I just spoke to a friend in the same country as me and he is having no issue with the Xbox/Microsoft service.

The solution I found was to go on the Windows Store App, NOT THE XBOX APP, and install it from there. It’ll first download MCC which is like a 70GB download, and then a 10MB download for each game which are the missing licenses keeping the games locked.

If you already have MCC installed can try installing the individual games through the windows store, but I found less sucess with this.

I looked at everything online and tried them with no luck, this solution worked for me with repeated attempts and is the fix I believe.

just download the new Xbox (beta) app first, then u will be able to download games, I am already playing Exodus ^_^

Hi, if you go to My games & apps on the Xbox then look in the Ready to install section do you see the game in there? if so select it and install.

It may also be showing in the Queue section of My games & apps in which case it should be downloading already.
