    Xbox app does not run fullscreen on my devices


    Hi there,

    I have a Razer Phone 2 (running Android 9) and a hacked Nintendo Switch (running LineageOS 17.1). Both devices have the latest Xbox app installed and
    both devices have a 16:9 ratio display. When I try to remote play from my Series X console to my devices, the notification bar does not hide and the navigation bar creates black bars around the streaming area (even though it hides). This only happens specifically
    with the Xbox app, the other streaming apps (e.g. Steam Link, Moonlight, PS4 remote play) work as they should be, covering the screen from edge to edge.

    I have tried re-installing the Xbox app, installing older versions, resetting the phone and I even tried force-hiding the bars with third-party Android
    apps, nothing worked. Even the MS support couldn't find me a solution.

    Any ideas?

    What is going on with framerate in several Windows Applications?

    the xbox app does not run the cleanest, i had this issue too when i was using windows 10 and enabling vrr in graghics settings and also selecting fullscreen and windowed under nvidia gsync settings seemed to fix it, not sure if it will for yours.

    i also had a similar issue when i was running edge or had edge open when using the xbox app.

    Hi,

    What games are crashing? Some, or all of them?

    Games from the Windows Store (or Game Pass) either have Fullscreen Optimization enabled by default or run in Windowed Borderless mode which shouldn't cause games to crash when attempting to ALT+TAB.

    You can check whether Fullscreen Optimizations are enabled or not by opening the Xbox Game Bar via Win+G. If you are running in Fullscreen Exclusive, then the display brightness may be flicker. If you are in Fullscreen Optimizations, the Xbox Game Bar should pop up as an overlay.

    Sounds more like a graphics driver issue to me.

    Windows Apps can not have Fullscreen Optimization disabled as it's not possible to access their exe file to disable them.

    these wont work. the app is glitched and broken. when u tab into a game when its fullscreen it will mute the xbox app. sometimes it doesnt sometimes it does. its just retarded

    Streaming Video/Games Freezes Unless I play windowed or a toolbar is up. Audio is fine.

    Still no fix for the fullscreen issue :/ I have noticed though, even playing at the same resolution, I can fullscreen the app on my secondary monitor and it plays perfectly fine.
