    Xbox App does not open ( PC/Windows )


    Hey! My Xbox app has had this problem for the longest time now and i still cant fix it. When I open the app it just loads forever and never actually opens. I have tried a lot of solutions but none have solved my problem. If you have any suggestions please let me know!

    The image below shows what I see and it is just stuck on this.

    The previous link was for a 360 controller.
    This would be the one for the Xbox One.     Can you let me know what happens when you connect the controller to the PC via USB with the Xbox Accessories app open? Does it change at all? Cycle a loading graphic, or does it not register at all?

    Hi, may I know why you're trying to run the game directly from the .exe file?

    As you downloaded the game from the Microsoft store / Xbox app, please search and open for the game directly from the Windows start menu

    Or open the Xbox PC app in your PC and open the game from there

    Quick Actions Toggle on Cloud Gaming using Xbox App for Windows needs to be addressed

    I have found a fix for this issue, though temporary

    By the way, thank you Lucas for the suggestion to opt out of Xbox Insider Progam

    Uninstall the app then download from the website https://www.xbox.com/en-za/apps/xbox-app-for-pc as opposed to downloading from the Windows Store and you're good to go, the QAT won't be highlighted when gaming

    Unfortunately, the problem does return when relaunching the same or launching another game after exiting but just close the Xbox app and open it again

    It's definitely a problem that needs to be addressed and I hope it does in the near future

    If you're logged into a Windows 10 PC on the Xbox Companion App then Windows 10 should show you when messages are sent. If you open the app and click on Settings then Notifications you'll be able to set what you see from Xbox

    Hi, Alexander. Based on this information, I can provide the following potential fix:

    Step 1.
    Press the Windows key + R key to open the Run window > type wsreset.exe > wait until the store opens automatically, and sign out of your account.

    Step 2.
    Press the Windows key + I to open PC Settings > Apps & Features > Installed apps > locate the Xbox app and go to advanced settings > click on “repair” and “reset”.

    Open the Xbox app and sign out of your account.

    You may want to do the same with the Minecraft launcher.

    Step 3.
    Restart your PC and sign in with the account used to purchase the DLC on the Xbox app, the Microsoft Store and the Minecraft launcher.
