XBOX App does not allow me to select drive to install game.

Cheers for this. Got the same issue and have not been able to install any more Gamepass titles on my PC for past couple of days. I have a few GamePass PC titles installed already and those show to still be installed ok in the app and also play fine. Had tried selecting the drive in settings (there only is one) reinstalling the Xbox app and doing the app repair/reset too. Nothing had worked but using the app on mobile forces the remote install through to the desktop pc just fine, but it's crazy to have to do that. Something broke with a recent update, hopefully MS sort asap.

The workaround that worked for me is:

1. Download the "Game Pass" app on your phone

2. Login with the same Xbox account of your PC

3. Start the game installation from the phone app, specifying your PC as the target device on which install the game

Thanks for reaching out to the forums! Have you already attempted to change the install drive on the backend? There are two locations where you can manually set the default drive for game installs. Follow the steps below to attempt to set your default drive.

First:

1.Open the Xbox app

2.Click on the profile icon near the top-right and select Settings from the flyout menu.

3.Go to the General tab

4.Click on the drop-down menu under Change where this app installs by default.

5.Select the desired drive from the list of options.

6.Restart the computer and check if you are able to select another drive while downloading a game.

Second:

1. Open the system app on your pc

2.Click on Storage from the list of options available on the right, in the System tab

3.Select Advanced storage settings under Storage management.

4.Click on Where new content is saved from the list of options that appear

5.Select the dropdown menu under New apps will save to select the desired drive.

6.Click on Apply for the changes to come into effect

7.Restart the computer and check if you are able to select another drive while downloading a game.

How to setup up your pc from xbox app? it seems only shows options to pair with an console... If you can give some help I would much appreciate it!
