Xbox app CTD when opening/Won't re-download

Hiya,

I recently had an issue whilst trying to download AOEIV which caused the Microsoft store app AND my Xbox app to stop working during the download, after it was done my microsoft store started working but my Xbox app continued to not load up (It'd load, I'd get the cursor+waiting symbol then it'd close and crash), I tried repairing the application via the apps+settings, then tried resetting it to no luck (Infact, repairing it made the app close faster if anything), I tried removing the local files cache as suggested elsewhere. I figured re-installing the app clean would work so I removed the application then tried to download from the store, but I am now greeted with a "Try again later - Something happened on our end" message which means I can't download.

I like using this app as I have the Xbox Ultimate pass and it makes it easier to see what games I can download on it. Please help.

Let's try the following:

1. Press the Windows + R keys.

2. Type in the Run window: wsreset.exe

3. Click OK.

This should normalize the behavior of the Store.

If the issue persist:

Open the Command Prompt as an administrator by pressing the Windows + X keys and selecting the Command Prompt (Admin) option.

Copy and paste the command:

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML

If neither of those procedures works, try to restore your PC's OS via the ISO image tool, using that tool you will be able to maintain your installed games and files.

Having the same prob played for over an hour it said a different profile logged in and that was it CTD. Now everytime i open it it logs into my xbox account and CTD. Contacting support is a joke

When I open a game like VRchat it says there is an unexpected error that the game is open and when I try the Xbox app it won't start the game that I downloaded but at times it well start a load screen that's all

Resetting both the Microsoft Store and Xbox (beta) app didn't change anything. When I re-opened the app it still shows AoE II trying to install/update at 3% with no bytes being downloaded into it.

I have the same issue.

I have gone through multiple iterations of graphics drivers, scanning system files, and completely reinstalling the game multiple times (including today's 14 release).

The CTD is always in NTDLL.DLL. And it happens when the XBOX wireless controller is connected to the PC.

If I start FS without the controller it runs perfectly, but will CTD the instant the wireless controller is paired.

If I start FS with the controller already connected, it will CTD about 3 seconds after the Safe mode question/prompt.

With all the re-installs and driver changes that I've done, the one constant seems to be whether the Xbox controller is connected.
