    Xbox App Creating 100GB Temp File Apon Connecting to Internet


    I tried installing Forza Horizon 5, but the download randomly stopped. I realized the space was still being taken up, so I went looking for where the file was, I found it and deleted it, but every time I delete it it just gets recreated. I noticed this doesn't happen if I don't have internet access. Anyone else having this issue or know a fix? Thanks.

    that 100GB temp file is an allocation for FH5 you've probably unisntalled the file but you computer is still trying to download it. Your best bet is to attempt to install it and it might continue from where it left off before.

I had this issue with Halo, it went away after updating my drivers! Have you checked if they need an update?

    Thank you VERY MUCH! It was driving me crazy, no downloads in the queue, nothing to resume, nothing to delete. I couldn't start the "Standard edition" download again and I was unable to delete the "WindowsApps" folder containing 100GBs of temp files. I tried uninstalling the xbox app och resetting the Windows Store app, nothing worked.

    This was the problem. They need to get their **** together, because this was NOT a good experience.

    Try clearing the temp internet files and cookies on your browser.

    Thanks for the reply! I was able to get it installed by uninstalling the Xbox app, deleting temp files, resetting the Microsoft Store app and deleting its cache with wsreset then reinstalling everything.
