Xbox App/Console is not tracking my game time on any games

For about two weeks now my xbox has not been tracking the hours i have been putting into games. My most common game is COD MW and xbox says i have 50hours which has not change in two weeks despite me probably playing another 50. The in game time tracker
for COD MW says i have more hours than 50 of actual in match time without including all the lobby time. Also my friends hours has not been updating for me so for the last two weeks they at least on my side have shown no increase in game activity.

How do I fix this and set it back to the normal tracking?

Log out of your account/profile

Restart your console

Log back in

I'm having the same problem after my old Xbox died and the new 1 doesn't track time. Need help on how to fix it please

I'm also having issues with my time played not being tracked.

Just to clarify the steps needed to get time tracked until a fix is found, I need to sign out while I'm in the game, going back to the home screen then signing out won't track any time for the games I wanted tracked.

Also time used for apps seem to be tracking fine for me
