Xbox app connecting problem

On the Xbox app, Whenever I invite someone or try and join someones party, it just says "Connecting...". Sometimes I have no problem connecting and other times It's impossible to join a party. This has been happening for months and won't go away. I have tried lots of things but nothing has worked; I think it might be poor internet but my internet is not bad by any means.

I am so sorry you are having issues connecting with your party.

Sometimes, simply restarting your router can help resolve connectivity issues.
Use an online speed test to check your internet speed. Ensure you have a stable and fast enough connection for online gaming.
If possible, use a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for a more stable connection.

Ensure you have the latest version of the Xbox app installed.

Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features.
Find the Xbox app, click on it, and select Advanced Options.
Click Reset.

Sometimes signing out and then signing back into the app can resolve connectivity issues.

Ensure your network is set to "Private" rather than "Public". This can affect the ability to connect to parties.
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network profile and set it to Private.

Teredo is a networking protocol used by Xbox Live for party chat and multiplayer. Make sure it is enabled:
Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
Enter the following commands:

netsh interface teredo set state type=default
netsh interface teredo show state

The output should show that Teredo is enabled and in a connected state.

Open the Xbox app, go to Settings > Network.
Check the NAT Type. It should ideally be "Open". If it's "Strict" or "Moderate", it can cause issues.

Ensure UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is enabled on your router.
You might need to set up port forwarding or enable a DMZ for your device. The ports used by Xbox Live are:
Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)
Port 500 (UDP)
Port 3544 (UDP)
Port 4500 (UDP)

Check for Firewall or Antivirus Interference: Sometimes firewalls or antivirus programs can block the Xbox app from connecting properly. Try disabling them temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.
Ensure Windows is Updated: Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date with the latest updates installed.

A new update of the app just came out today, but this problem has been happening for a while. The Alexa app has an Xbox skill on it that allows me to control a connected Xbox device. This skill probably needs to be updated by Microsoft. If this is the problem
though, the Xbox app should still work.

I tried to connect to my Xbox from my laptop too. The Xbox shows up on the Xbox app, but it doesn’t connect. Just wants me to try again later. This means the Xbox is probably the problem.

Thank you for your response, any more ideas?

i fix my xbox console companion app problem it was my internet connection i went to a another internet connection to fix this problem

Apparently this link no longer exists and has been removed.

In a previous post, there was a work around posted for this problem

"I unlinked Facebook completely on the Xbox companion app on my PC.
I then downloaded the Xbox app onto my phone and connected it using the phone app. it connected fine and the Xbox companion app on my pc then updated with my Facebook linked to it with no further problems. works fine now"

Xbox App update to 29.29.17002.0 solved the problem, connection works again.
