This is happening again! As for reporting it, that's what I am doing, lol. I've reported it multiple times in the last 5 weeks, both via the app itself and on here. I'll report it again now.

Thanks Sigma for submitting a report on this again. It often takes more than one bug to help and unfortunately we are not seeing other reports on this, but your video clearly shows a loading delay. I will keep reporting this to developers to investigate.

After I posted about this, the app said that it could not load my friends list and my main activity feed only showed content from me - all the clips, achievements etc. from my friends weren't there. I tried to come back here, but this site wasn't working
properly either.

I went to Reddit and found a bunch of people complaining about Xbox Live not working right.

Also, the status updates for all of my offline friends have disappeared now, so instead of it saying "Last seen: blah blah" it just says "Offline" for dozens of people.

Something really messed up with Live last night for a while.

Right now, the profile info is loading in OK again. If I click on a friend's name, the info either pops in straight away, or there's a blank page for 2 or 3 seconds, then it pops in, which is fine.

 

Hi Sigma, Yes, there was a service outage yesterday which could explain the issues your were experiencing but that was resolved and should be in working order.

Tonight, again, it's taking 15-30 seconds to load a person's info when clicking on their name in the friends list.

Not only that, but earlier all my favourites disappeared again for more than an hour, once when I launched the app it said that I had 0 friends online, I was unable to sync a save via Xbox Live, I was in a party with 8 friends and after 30 minutes or so
it all messed up and half the people in it switched to "connecting" - some people could be heard but not hear anyone else, some people couldn't be heard but could hear others.

Xbox Live is awful these days. It's no longer a bragging right over Sony. If anything, not having to use Xbox Live is a great reason to buy a PS4.

This is happening again right now. Profile info is taking 20+ seconds to load in and sometimes it just never loads.

This was so close to being a great app, now this issue is becoming an almost daily occurrence.

 

I'm now noticing a delay when viewing messages.

Sometimes it takes a while for the message list to load.

Sometimes when I click on an existing message, there's a circle "loading" icon spinning away for 10-20 seconds before I can reply.

What has happened to this app???

 

The delay in loading in profile info is constant for me now. It's the new norm.

I also see delays when loading in the list of activity alerts or messages, and if I go to send a new message, I get a loading circle in the message box and I can't start typing my message until it goes away.

What is causing this?? It's making the app unbearable to use. I have a 200 Mbps down, 10 Mbps up connection. My PC is hard wired to the router. Nothing has changed in terms of hardware or settings at my end.

 

To add some more info to this.....

When I launch the Xbox app, if I click on a friend's name, their info loads in instantly.

It's only the subsequent friends I click on whose info loads in super slow.

Please don't ignore this, cos for me, the app is basically unusable now.

 

This is happening with the latest beta.

1. When clicking on a friend's name, it either takes 20+ seconds for their profile info to load in, or it never loads in and I just get a blank page.

2. When clicking on activity alerts, it either takes 20+ seconds for them to load, or they never load and I get a constant spinning loading circle.

3. When clicking on messages, it either takes 20+ seconds for the list of messages to load, or they never load and I just get a constant spinning loading circle.

4. When sending a message to a friend, when the message box appears, there's a loading circle in that too which can take 10+ seconds before it goes away, allowing me to compose and send my message.

5. Notifications are incredibly intermittent. Often when I fire the app up I have a new message or activity alert, yet I did not receive a notification about this on my PC.

This app has gone from being one of my favourite Xbox One-related things to being borderline unusable and incredibly frustrating. The fact that I've reported this tons of times (I've just reported it again now) and am getting no support whatsoever is just
as frustrating.
