    my Forza horizon 5 wouldn't update, so I uninstalled it, then the game wouldn't reinstall (error code: 0x87e00196) so I contacted support and the guy I talked to ran me thru troubleshooting for over an hour deleting and reinstalling game services, and the Xbox app thru PowerShell, we also tried repairing and resetting apps in window settings. We couldn't come up with a solution so he sent me to Forza support, and Forza support pretty much sent me straight back. But now my Xbox app wont work, Microsoft store wont load and gaming services doesn't even seem to be on my computer anymore but I have no way of reinstalling it if my Xbox app and Microsoft store wont work. Windows is up to date, drivers are up to date. I don't know what else to do at this point aside from wiping my pc and I really don't want to do that considering it only seems to be Xbox and Microsoft related content that isn't working.     Windows 11 XBOX app games stuck at "Preparing (0%)" when installing

    I have been trying to fix this for the past 8 hours and still cannot fix it, no matter what app I try to install from the xbox store, it just sits at preparing and does NOTHING.

    I have installed all windows updates, nothing

    tried resetting the data for the xbox app, windows store, gaming services, nothing

    tried removing xbox app, windows store, gaming services, nothing

    tried rebooting pc several times, nothing

    This is a FRESH install of windows 11 straight out of the box and already this app wont work (No surprise here, this has been around for months). I've had this issue several times on about 90% of the machines I've used, I've been able to fix it up until now. I am a paying customer and the fact that this issue is so prevalant even months later after it first started appearing is absolutely ridiculous. Microsoft can't even write apps that function correctly for their own operating system, what an absolute joke. I'm about to cancel my subscription if this is not fixed soon, absolutely ridiculous.
    I worked my way through countless troubleshooting Guides and nothing worked for me (PowerShell commands, VPN, IP V6, 3x reinstalls,.... Nothing)

    Then I came across a thread which said: the support told me to change my region to US.

    And BOOM download started immediately!

    So if you're like me and nothing works:

    Set your region to US

    Error 0x80070005 On xbox game pass

    I cant even install the Xbox Beta App for PC . I check the microsoft store and it shows “Game Services” in the

    updates with the error 0x80070005 and when i close out of the Xbox (Beta) Installer the Xbox Services Update in the Microsoft Store disappears meaning those two are connected. How do i fix this issue?

    Forza Horizon 5 is not able to download to an external drive.

    All of my Microsoft and Xbox games are downloaded on my external drive including the previous Horizon, which is Forza Horizon 4. I changed where new apps are stored when downloaded from the Microsoft store to my external drive but it still wont download Forza Horizon 5 to my external drive. On the Xbox app it wont show my external drive as an option to download to. I am able to download any game from the Microsoft store and Xbox app to my external drive except Forza Horizon 5.

    You have the problem with the Xbox app to install games not with Forza as is still not installed, so you need to reset the Xbox app and the Microsoft store
