Xbox App and Game Bar Unable to Sign In

When I attempt to sign in to either the Xbox Game Bar or the Xbox App on Windows 10 I get an error message: "You're not connected to the internet. Check your network connection and try again."

I have attempted all of the fixes listed in this thread but not even the repair upgrade fixed the problem.

The problem first started a few days ago and no changes were made that could have caused the issue.

Hi there ZakSand welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Well, I suggest you try this:

Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

Open Accounts

Click Sign-in Options

Scroll down to Privacy

Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

Restart your PC!

Are you able to sign out of your dads profile in the console companion app? If you sign into your account on the console companion app it should work.

Step by step using game bar

press "windows key and 'g' key" to bring up xbox game bar, or laucnch the app by searching "xbox game bar" next to start.
click on the gear icon
select accounts (on left side of setting pop-up)
select sign out next you current account
repeat steps 1-3 then click sign in
sign in with the desired account and your good to go

Hey! I just had a similar issue and heres the steps i took that fixed this,

I opened the xbox app, not the game bar.

i signed out of my microsoft account from there, as well as signing out on the game bar

I signed back in and opened the game bar after

And boom my friends list was appearing again!

I appreciate you letting me know. Kindly sign out and sign back in on your Xbox App, Xbox Console Companion, and Xbox Game Bar before restarting your PC then sign back in.

Yes I believe you can. I don't own Minecraft but I tested with other
Microsoft store games that use xbox live.

If you launch "console companion app" go to your profile and sign out, then sign in with the desired account.

or Step by Step alternate method, Microsoft store app will be signed into the account that purchased the game, console companion/game bar signed into any xbox live account you want
