Xbox Android app (Chat broken)

Have you tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it?

I had a similar problem and a simple re-install fixed my issues

Hi Philip. I've tried pluging in regular corded headphones into the phone but still has the same result. The disconnected message apears over my name. The party will stay open on the pull down bar until forced to close. The mute me button is on by default
and won't change.

Older versions of the app did work but now i get an error code 10 as soon as i launch the party on both beta and regular.

Current version i'm using is the Xbox Beta app Version: 1911.1121.1943

Phone: Galaxy S5 Neo

Android version: 6.0.1

I understand you join a chat disconnected, though I am unclear what is disconnected. I will try to ask a few questions to clarify and hopefully isolate the cause.

First, What plat form are you on? Are you using Xbox (beta) or fully released Xbox? Can you supply the version number please.

Second, What is "it" where "it's (it is) joins disconnected". Are you saying the conversation on Xbox is joined correctly? Yet when the conversation is joined, you can type a message? Can you hear the part in your headset? Can they hear you?

When you joined voice can you hear their chatter?

Third, have you test the headset with something else?

Does your headset physically disconnect Bluetooth?

I doubt factory reset would help as you have noticed. If a wired or no headset works, then not likely Xbox app. If you have the same problem with Xbox and Xbox (beta) apps both then not likely the app. Hopefully your responses will help narrow down the cause
area first.

Just wanted you to know I am not ignoring you. I do now understand all of the details, including you are not being given any info on why you are disconnected from the chat. This sucks! I am going to revert one of my old phones back to Android 6 and see
if I can repeat your problem as I have a developer's tool set for it (I hope it is not OBE). I will keep you informed of my progress.

The Xbox app on Android is not broken. It just recently got an update for it a few weeks ago. The app works fine on my phone. It must be a problem with your phone or your phone network.
