    Xbox and PlayStation Minecraft


    I downloaded a world of of the Minecraft store, and I wanted to play the world with my friend who is cross-platform. When they try to join, it’s just shows “Cannot Join Outdated server” or something like that. We check and his Minecraft shows it’s on 1.18.10, mine shows 1.18.2. I’m not sure what to do as I checked for updates and there wasn’t any. In fact, I updated in this morning. I don’t know how we can play together other than joking an actual server.

    because minecraft is microsoft/xbox, to sign into minecraft you sign into xbox live, even on playstation.

    signing in to the Xbox website with your Microsoft account. This will create an Xbox profile for the account. Xbox profile information is necessary on a Microsoft account in order for you to
    link it to Minecraft for PlayStation 4. Also, there is
    an FAQ on the Minecraft support website     that explains more about using Minecraft on PlayStation 4. Be sure to let us know the results

    Hi Cozmic,

    Thanks for coming to the Xbox forums. You will need to get with PlayStation on how to unlink the account. If that doesn't work, you could create a new Microsoft account for the sole purpose of Minecraft on PlayStation. The

    Minecraft for PlayStation FAQ     has a lot of information in regards to your issue also.

    Why can i not play multiplayer with my frends in PS4 minecraft anymore

    On what system are you playing Minecraft?

    Sony pushed an update for Minecraft on Playstation 4 to update it to the "Bedrock" version, allowing Playstation 4 players to play with Xbox One, PC, Mobile and Switch users now.

    Make sure you also have Version 1.14 of your Minecraft installed, and that you are playing on Xbox One, Switch, Playstation 4, Windows 10 or Android/iOS.

    Minecraft on Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, and other "older" console versions can't play with others on the "Bedrock" version.
