    Xbox and Microsoft account was compromised


    The person who has stolen my account literally made it my email but added a . at the end of it and they changed the gamertag but i still get prompts to sign in but cant i have proof of ownership what do I do?

    If the steps on the url above did not help you recover your account, your only option is to fill the recovery form. In the article below you can get detailed information on how to fill the form:

    The Microsoft recovery form is available at:

    https://account.live.com/acsr

    No Microsoft employee can help users recovering their accounts. They only instruct you on how to fill the recovery form. So that's the only available option for a hacked account. If when you try to fill the recovery form you receive a message that your account does not exist anymore, unfortunately you will not be able to recover your account.

    If you talk to a Microsoft support advocate, he/she will tell you the same thing. They are not allowed and have no access to change anything on a user account. I hope you understand. I do not work for Microsoft and I do not have access to user accounts too.

    Someone hacked my last account before this one and I know how it is to lose all progress, achievements and money spent on it.

    Not an answer you can use but we are currently going through the same exact thing. I suggest to keep putting in tickets and when it's available, request a call back. It's more helpful than chat.

    If the above solutions did not work - nor the recovery form - I'm sorry, but you will not be able to get it back.

    As I mentioned, Microsoft support cannot help users recovering their account. They are not allowed to do it or to change anything on a user account.

    If you try to use the recovery form, does it show you the message that your account does not exist?
