    So I’ve been a PlayStation player for years and just recently I saw that the Xbox was doing much better so switched besides that I opened Fortnite and it didn’t give me an option to just log into my Fortnite account it made me pick an Xbox account and it’s probably my fault for not linking my account beforehand but it forced me to make another account and now a epic games account I can’t even log into because I used the same email from my previous one thinking I was logging in is linked to my Xbox and I can’t unlink it I’m having to switch from my Xbox to my PlayStation just to play Fortnite.

    The issue is with Epic games, nothing Xbox can do until Epic games fixes it.

    i have my xbox account but i made my epic account with my xbox live account but when it got hacked they deleted my xbox account of epic so i cant login and epic doesnt care
    So to clarify. Its your Epic games account you are trying to recover and NOT your Xbox live profile correct?

    If this is the case then the one and only people who have the capability of assisting would be Epic Games support.

    Microsoft cannot help you with your Epic Games account.

    If Epic games wont assist then unfortunately nothing else can be done.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums.

    Unfortunately, if some someone else has linked your Epic Games account to their Xbox profile, then your Epic Games account was compromised by somebody else and only they can unlink the two accounts.

    You will need to contact Epic Games for assistance with your Epic Games account: https://epicgames.helpshift.com/a/epic-accounts/

    Any game you purchased on Epic Games can only be played through the Epic Games Launcher. Only Xbox games can be played on the Xbox Cloud Gaming.
