    Xbox and Cable TV


    Whenever I turn my Xbox on it causes my Cable Tv to lag/hitch whatever you want to call it, the audio and picture are screwed up. It is not every channel though, which is odd. I don't have my cable box plugged into my Xbox either, so I don't really understand how they are impacting each other. I believe this is only a problem with the Series X because I don't remember it happening when I had the One X. Anybody know what is causing this or how to fix it?

    Hello @Deathscythe FJH!

    With issues like these, we recommend changing the cables also try connecting your console to another TV. However, if this does not fix the issue, it might be a hardware issue. If your console is still under warranty, you can place a repair request to get it fixed.

    I stated that I used other HDMI Cables and another Tv. My xbox worked on the second tv with the same cable, and my laptop worked with the same HDMI cable on my Tv in the same HDMI Port. The Xbox, Tv, and HDMI cable work fine, they just won't work together
    right now for some reason.

    I'm not an admin, but I can confidently tell you you'll not be able to watch TV without cable or satellite. The way it works, is you have a cable box and run that to your Xbox One. Then you run your Xbox one to your TV. Basically your cable transfers
    through you cable box > xbox one > your TV. If you don't have cable and a cable box hooked up you won't be able to watch TV.

    I'm with the same problem. For me, when i plug the hdmi input from my xbox on my cable TV set-top, the tv works, but in a green image (i can see the image in different green tones, audio works).

    But plug my cable TV set-top directly to tv (same cable, same hdmi port), it works fine, i don't have this issue.

    If i plug my computer instead tv on xbox hdmi input, (same cable), works fine too!

    So, my hdmi cable seems works fine, my cable tv set-top seems works fine, my hdmi cable seems works fine, the hdmi input port from xbox seems works fine, but this specific configuration, de cable tv device plugged on xbox, does not work!!!
