Xbox Ally X Experience and Future of XBOX AIO

Just my two cents on having played with Xbox Ally X for a week or so. I am maybe not the average target audience but nevertheless maybe this is helpful. I own both a High end PC , Xbox, 360, One, Series X and now the xbox ally X. For a converged experience the Xbox Ally X is a ok start to learn from. Major use cases I think that need to be ironed out for both Xbox Ally X and the Future XBOX AIO console. If windows 11 is going be the base OS and hardware agnostic for these target products become less important package all the Win11 updates in 1 bundle and release monthly so user dont get bothered with tons of updates (drivers, security , core os etc,). Keep a lean Win11 Core . As old days Windows embedded/CE used to be, just enough to support your core use cases and remain a background substrate. 2) Deliver the hardware as lean as possible so without useless apps (e.g. a camera app when device has (not yet) a camera natively or attached. 3) Backwards compatibility , either embedded enough chip power to support the native instruction sets of old machines or enough horsepower to emulate these chipsets. 4) old libraries, as people would still have a ton of old physical copies , make a exchange program where you can scan your product ID of hardware copy (box or disc) then supply them with a digital copy in gamepass OR fillup gamepass with tons of old games and add a paid features for 360 access yes or no so people can find their old games (and xbox can cover license fees/royalties with old studios etc.) out of that revenue stream. 5) cross compatibility: UI with multiple launchers (steam, xbox, ubisoft etc,.) is a big challenge. A lot of times these launchers stay surpressed (rightfully so in a way) in the background waiting for a user action (login, update, OTP whatever) and xbox app shell stays foreground and nothing happens. Killing for user experience . Alt tab , doing the action within the launcher then resumes the process but horrible UX. Find a way to use some API based access /agreement with steam and the other launchers so the process is seamless for users. 6) who are we doing this for? Be very clear who the audience is going to be (based on TAM/SAM) as trying appeal to all or to narrow of an audience will both usually fail. The use cases in my view are around: Living room domination (tried before with mediacenter PC etc.) or appealing to gamers (bedroom/basement audience or on the go in case of mobile gaming (niche). THese are two totally different profiles as normies in the living room can not be bother with a high end pc which is hard to control to watch netflix , youtube etc. This means that e,.g. the Mrs. if at all already wants a console type underneath the tv set (usually already a smart tv with many apps in there (apple tv, disney, hulu, netflix) she wants is easy to control on/off/select mantra. not login, update, task switch , update again, etc., hassle. My point is the next Xbox needs to be clearly targetted to either replace or augment current experiences ((High end) PC, current xbox (one and X) , dont try to be the setup box again where for 300 usd you can get a smart tv which covers the content side of things (netflix and the lot)., 7) in summary, i think a AIO all in one experience can work based on XBOX ally X experience but not to replace High end PC gamers unless you really deliver 4090RTX like experience in a unbeatable price range (also because a lot of pc builders are tinkerers and like that flexibility) AND seriousely have a good harmonized UI/UX and win11 subdue AND support all old, current and cross platforms (Xbox, sony, PC, old libraries). tx
