    Hello,

    I just wanted to document my negative experience attempting to upgrade through Xbox All Access.

    Last year around this time, I was a base Xbox One user.

    I saw the advertisements for the Xbox All Access promotion that would allow me to get an Xbox One X during holidays last year, then upgrade to the new Series X when it comes out a year later.

    Well, it is a year later and this process did not work as I had hoped.

    In order for me to upgrade, I'm treated as if I'm a new customer to Xbox All Access.

    1. I need to renew my All Access contract for another 2 years
    2. In order to buy the new xbox, I need to fight for orders with everyone else buying them outright
      1. Attempting to go through Target, after I selected I have an existing Citizen One account, I was prompted to enter my SSN and DOB, rather than entering my current account number.
      2. I had one in the cart, but I was taken to a loading screen where they were in communication with Citizens One for 10+ minutes (it never did complete and they updated to out of stock in another window).
    3. One benefit of signing up last year was the idea that I could upgrade to the new one the day it comes out, based on how it's gone so far, I don't see myself getting one until at least December.
      1. The guidance was to go through same retailer you did previously, but as I went through Amazon during promotion last year, that is not available to me this year.
    Honestly, the way it was marketed last year just feels misleading at this point, and I'm at a point where I wish I hadn't signed up last year, and I could possibly have a Series X in my possession today being able to go to more retailers than I'm currently
    limited to.

    For Walmart's release, the Xbox All Access upgrade page didn't go up until 15 min. after the actual console release.

    Even now, clicking the "Login" option for existing Citizens One customers get's an error message.

    Unsure if Microsoft or retailers called it out anywhere, but to me it would've made sense to have separate stock for All Access users, due to the added commitment to Xbox over a 2 year period.

    Okay, makes sense.

    To upgrade your Xbox there are steps you have to take on your end to initiate that process that are listed in the link above. That should get you the upgrade you are looking for.

    Further more, Citizen One handles the upgrade process.

    Congratulations! Iam glad to see that we were able to resolve your problem. I am going to post some additional information for anyone that might have the same issue that you were encountering. Citizen One is who you need to contact for any issues with financing, upgrading or trading-in your console. What I would suggest is to ask for someone that works within the Xbox All Access support team, and they will know how to assist with any issues.
