Is this coming to South Africa?

Brilliant move on behalve of Microsoft!

Is there any hope that the concept will be taken beyond the US?

All if your account region is south africa all you have to do is download from your console

this has just been announced for the US and unfortunately there is no Information if this will become an option outside of the US or not.

A similar construction existed for the Xbox 360, but if I recall correctly that wasn't available outside the US.

Best thing you can try is to post your feedback at
http://feedback.xbox.com or vote for already existing feedback.

This way it will get noticed by MS that there is a need for it outside of the US too

I really hope this is not the case, as this would surely be the only chance they have to "restart" the Xbox One family on the International Stage.

The concept is quite unique and coincides perfectly with MS buying all the new studios etc. This approach reminds me of what a lot of other companies are doing with regards to building complete eco-systems, thus MS are effectively also getting a head start
on te next generation.

Would be a sad day for MS to outsell PS5's, but only in the US and not on the international stage.

Could type up a thesis about this, absolutely a brilliant business move. Combining GaaS and HaaS (Hardware as a Service?) lol

On the other hand it does shows MS's dedication to Xbox as a platform for all games, no matter the hardware, although... Black Ops 4 really struggled on OG Xbox One,

We can only hope,

+- R 500 for an X is much more realistic for gamers and parents alike,
