    Dell XPS 8900 - Windows 10 Pro

    Today I received an Xbox ad/notification in my action center. No idea why. Every notification 'fix' I've found says to log into your Xbox account & go to settings ... blah blah blah.

    Never owned an Xbox console. Never created an Xbox account.
    Disabled Xbox-related policies in GPEDIT long ago.
    Removed xbox appx via elevated Command Prompt.

    How do I utterly nuke Xbox and block Microsoft from sending these notifications?

    Ads could be from a partnership between Dell and Microsoft, so it appeared in notifications.

    Try this procedure: Enter the Windows 10 “Settings” screen again until you reach the taskbar;
    Once again, in the “Notification area” part, click on “Enable or disable system icons”;
    Now, just uncheck the items that shouldn't appear in the system tray.

    Hi I'm an Xbox ambassador, I am not an employee for either microsoft or Xbox.

    Have you deleted or disabled every Xbox related service on your pc. If so my suggestion is to follow the fixes I understand you don't have an Xbox but an Xbox account is actually just a microsoft account the same one used to sign into your pc, if you still require help just let me know.

    Adding friends should be easier

    The notification system could for sure use improvement! I have also had issues with people adding me and never getting the notification. Or the old notifications from friends that added me a year ago will keep popping up but not the new ones.

    What about if your being added by accounts and the notification pops up on screen but then no information on the actual notifications. And I cannot locate any information to display who's added me. Just had two tonight. Can't locate the account either. Very concerning.

    It seems to be by design. A follower is someone that's added you as a friend, but you haven't yet added them back. If you do, they become a friend, but there's no notifications.
