Xbox adaptive controller - joystick issues

I'm using an XAC on an Xbox One. I have joysticks with 3.5 mm jacks (Evil Controllers mini thumbsticks and Warfighter Engaged Joystix-Ls) that I have plugged into the X1 and X2 ports on the back of the controller. The X2 port works as it should, and I can use that joystick without issue. When I plug a joystick into the X1 port, it just activates the left stick forward command like I plugged in a switch instead of a joystick. I found this out when I used the testing option that shows what buttons are being pressed. When I open the XAC profile, it shows the the X1 port is bound to left stick forward, and the X2 port is bound to left stick backward. Here is a list of the things I've already tried:

    • I updated the XAC's firmware
    • I restarted the controller
    • I power cycled the console
    • I tested with multiple joysticks and all the joysticks worked in the X2 port and had the same issue in the X1 port
    • I tested with another Xbox One and had the same issue
    • I tried to rebind the X1 and X2 ports to control the left and right joysticks, but there wasn't an option to do this
I'm not really sure what else I can do, or what is wrong and would really appreciate some input. Thanks!

    :)

    Xbox Adaptive Controller set up

I have a new adaptive controller and have the adaptive joystick plugged into the usb on the left side of the adaptive controller, yet the joystick will not control the left thumbstick in any direction. This is my 2nd adaptive controller keyboard and
first joystick ( first thought pads on adaptive controller were touch pads). I’m hoping someone else has had this issue and is an easy fix. I turn the adaptive controller on first, then my regular controller. I’m praying this is not a second return of the
adaptive controller or a first of the joystick.

    Joystick problem

    Hi Elite,

The only way you would be able to use any joystick is through the
    adaptive controller
. If you are not in need of it, then unfortunately there is no joystick that would be compatible with the Xbox as a stand alone.

    Thanks,

    Brad

    Adaptive Xbox controller and joystick

Logitech Extreme Pro 3D Joystick is actually one of the recommended joystick or accessory for the Xbox adaptive controller. However, we can only use the Joystick and not the buttons and thumbstick, for now.
