Xbox achievements not being received on Redstone builds, 14xxx of Windows 10

Ever since I upgraded to Redstone builds, 14x I stopped receiving any Xbox achievements while playing games on my PC. They work and I can obtain them fine on the Xbox One but when I play a Windows Store game, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Microsoft Solitaire
Collection, Oxenfree or any other game. I get absolutely no achievements including not only locked one, but anything as simple as even kill counters, etc.

For example, I just played Microsoft Solitaire on my PC with build 14316 and one of the simplest achievements to get is "First One's Free" where you basically just have to turn over your first card. Since I was using this game as a "test" I turned over
my first card and nothing. No achievement notification popped up, nothing showed up in the Xbox app.

So, figuring now that since NO games are getting achievements it might be related to the Redstone builds as that is the about the timeframe when they all stopped by received, i.e. for me very early February. I then installed the Microsoft Solitaire game
on a VM of build 10586.164 and upon logging into Xbox Live and playing my first game, no sooner did I turn over my first card, I got the action center notification that I received the "First One's Free" achievement but the achievement showed up in the Xbox
app too.

I had contacted Xbox support and they said nothing was wrong with my account, so it has to do with something in the Redstone builds.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior?

No Achievements

The game is not notifying me of any achievements while playing. No achievements are being shown in the xbox app on Windows 10. I do not have a xbox one. I'm sure I should have received the beginning achievements. I just completed firing my first drivers
to open a spot for a new one which I think should have resulted in an achievement but the game did not notify me of it.

Hi Dragonteeth,

Can you confirm you are signed into the same account on Windows 10 (the way you log into your PC) as the one on which you are expecting to see achievements unlock?

Can you also make sure you are not signed into an Xbox One while you play on Windows 10? Being logged into an Xbox One could have the effect of preventing Windows 10 achievements unlocking.

Well, just installed a brand new copy of Windows 10 build 14361 and I have confirmed that achieves DO NOT work on Redstone builds for any Xbox Live enabled game. Working completely fine on 15086.164.

 

I have the same problem. I've completed the game, and have not received neither a single achievement for completing the game. I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 Insider. Have someone figured out what do we have to make things work? Before someone
asks, I've paid for the game

 

There is nothing you can do but roll back to 10586.x builds and replay the game again. I've reached out to Xbox support and basically the achievements are never posting to your account.

 

Just heard back from the Xbox team:

"Hi, my name is Rob, and I'm with the Xbox team. Thanks for your bug reports about achievements not working on recent Redstone builds. We have found the root cause and fixed the issue. Your detailed bug report was very helpful. Thanks again!"

In response to my question about OS or app update:

"It's an OS update. It's a little tricky to give you a build number to look for given the complexities of our build system. Feel free to reach out if it's been a while and you're still hitting the issue, but our test team has validated that this was broken,
and has been fixed. The fix just may take a little while to go out to public builds."
