Xbox Account vs. Microsoft Account. Please help!

Dear all,

I've never needed to post here before, but for some bizarre reason I can't find an answer anywhere else.

I would like to achieve one of the following:

1. Remove my Xbox account from my Microsoft Account

2. Complete reset my Xbox Account including Gamerscore, but leave my Microsoft Account intact.

3. Assign a new "blank" Xbox account to my existing Microsoft Account.

Bottom line is. I no longer want my existing Xbox Account and would like it gone, but I still require all of the other services (including subscriptions, email etc) associated with my main Microsoft Account.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Unfortunately, none of these things are possible according to Microsoft itself.

An Xbox profile cannot be removed from a Microsoft account, as they are both parts of the same service, and there is no way to unlink them, as one needs the other to work.

Unfortunately, it is also not possible to reset a Gamertag, once you gain gamerscore in a certain game you will not be able to hide that you played that game.

It is not possible to link another Gamertag to the same account you use as the current Gamertag will always be there and you will not be able to remove or reset it.

Sorry, you'd need to speak with the Microsoft Account team in regards to any sort of closed e-mail accounts or their own recovery process. You can do so by submitting a ticket on their website
here.

Hi! I need help with this forum posting...I have tried it several times and still cant see the post or a response.. It is for the old gamertag name: LONTRELL0215 that has been banned and we don't know why...this account has achievements and has been with
xbox for about 4 years and I haven't got any help with the reasoning for why it was banned or even how to access the forum I posted or see if I did it correctly....please help... its been like 3 months now.....

Not quite sure why you're getting a black banner and nothing in the white space below. The page loads fine for me, clicking on the links produces the ticket and boxes to input information. Perhaps you can try using another web browser or try to make a new
Microsoft Account e-mail and try to submit the ticket using that.
