Xbox account showing 2 gamertags?

Yeah I'm having the same issue and all the threads I look at xbox admin either doesn't reply or lock the thread. Like they're avoiding fixing the problem

If what you were looking for was a gamertag without the numbering at the end you would have clicked the option of xbox 360 gamertags that do not contain the numbering at the end now, try deleting the profile and re-downloading it if after this it still
does not work try from the page of xbox and in your profile.

What do you mean? One of the first things I tried was deleting and reinstalling.

When I go to my xbox profile to sort it out, it takes me to where I need to pay for another gamertag which I'm not happy doing.

Thanks for coming to the forums. This has been a known issue. Check your Xbox live messages as there may be a message concerning this. If not we recommend for you to request a call from support.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

• Step 1 ----select Xbox One
  
• Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
  
• Step 3-----select show contact options
  
  Step 4 ----select request call from support
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.
