xbox account registered with wrong email address

Hi,

When I registered by xbox email I made an address that I had never used. Unfortunately it turned out to be someone else's email address and I can't sign in to it.

When I sign into my xbox it works. I need to change the email address associated with the xbox account as this is incorrect. It has not been verified as I this is not my email address. I cannot change it without verifying the change on an email sent to
the address, which I cannot do! Please tell me what I need to do to change it.

Since you are us military personnel tou registered the wrong account

You must register your xbox account as us under the us military address system including payment options

If your email account was already registered as Microsoft account, you cannot also add this as again. You can only add an existing email address if it is not yet registered as Microsoft account.

If the old email ACCOUNT is closed, can you see if you can re-register it again as a new account but with the same email address? That way, once up and running, your xbox account emails will be retrievable from the new (old) email account!

I was able to retrieve my sons account with the email address it was registered on.
