Xbox account hacked, Microsoft have refunded the games that were purchased fraudulently but...

Hi, I have similar situation like you about recent fraudulent purchase and MS refuse to refund this wrong payment....

A digital xbox giftcard was purchased on my account, it wasnt purchased by anyone in our household and was purchased using my paypal account (which i never use for microsoft purchases) and an email containing a code to redeem was received. Strangely enough i received a security alert shortly after saying that someone else might have accessed my account. Microsoft are refusing to refund me and I have having great difficultly trying to contact them to challenge this, finding their support absolutely rubbish. Any suggestions?

my xbox one was hacked,a few weeks back, and 50 gb stolen from my internet allowance... cost me money.. and too top that off the xbox just came on by itself.. not me.. !!!!…

what gives theses **** the right too hack into your machine.. and now remotely control it,..

If someone is on your network with a profile authorized on the console the xbox app will allow for remote streaming. However the account would have to be already on the console and the connecting device on the same network. Are you living on a school
campus or similar?

If you were hacked and fraudulent charges made against your account, you should contact microsoft support if the charges were made with pre paid funds, or with the bank that's card was used to make fraudulent purchases.

Since your account was hacked, you can try to reach out to your financial institution/bank to request a refund as this will be considered a fraudulent purchase.

I never said they were XBOX Live transactions. They were for purchases from Microsoft made online. The first time it happened I applied for a card only to use with XBOX Live. Two years later fraudulent charges started. The second time I used a credit card
I had for over 10 years without a problem. One year later the fraudulent charges started. The first card only had 1 charge for Microsoft Purchases of over $1000. The second card had one charge for over $1200 to Microsoft and then 6 days later a charge for
another online retailer. I have four credit cards that I have had for over 10 years. I have never had any fraudulent charges on any of them. Do you think it is a coincidence that the only two credit cards linked to an XBOX live account ended up with fraudulent
charges? Is it also a coincidence the both cards had large Microsoft online transactions? How about when I call support about my account and they never confirm or deny that someone got my credit card info when I ask.them. Nothing is impossible, I think the
hacking community has proven that over and over.

I contacted my bank after Microsoft would not refund the multiple charges. It is not the bank. They wouldn't charge that many times. They are opening a case to see about refunding the fraudulent charges and consider it fraud. They will start an investigation.
Microsoft said that the account for Xbox had not been hacked, so it is a problem with Microsoft Xbox. All I get is a standard reply which says that I have reached the maximum amount of refunds for the year. Wonder how many other people have been scammed
like this. Maybe the police should get involved since it appears to be fraud.
